The building of František Kinský mountain lodge has once been a local school. And that is why our apartments are referred to as classrooms. Classroom 1 is ideal for a family holiday. It can lodge up to six persons. The apartment has three separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and two smaller ones for the children or grandchildren – each of these with one bunk bed.
The 2nd school grade classroom in our “old school” is ideal for larger families or groups of friends, colleagues, and sports enthusiasts. It can lodge up to ten persons. There are two separate bedrooms with double beds and one large room with two bunk beds and two single beds to comfortably lodge six more people. We refer to this room as the Children’s Room. The concept of this apartment is based on an idea that the parents or grandparents sleep in privacy in the separate bedrooms, while all the children sleep together. This tends to be the best alternative for a bunch of kids on holiday, having fun all day and sharing their experiences before bedtime.
Our third apartment offers lodging for up to ten persons. There are two separated bedrooms with double beds plus two other bedrooms, each with one bunk bed and one single bed. The apartment allows the parents or grandparents sleep in privacy in their bedrooms, with the children’s rooms between them which the little ones can share with their siblings, friends, or grannies. All the partner bedrooms in the house are equipped with large mirrors that come handy when getting ready for a night out.
Classroom 4 is the largest and sunniest of all our apartments. It is the ideal accommodation for larger families or groups of friends, colleagues, and sports enthusiasts. It is a more spacious version of Apartment 2 and can lodge up to ten persons. There are two separate bedrooms with double beds and one large room with two bunk beds and two single beds to comfortably lodge six more people. We refer to this room as the Children’s Room.
Only 350 meters away of the Apartments you will find two ski lifts, three blue slopes, ski school, ski equipment rental and the possibility of evening skiing.
Relax with a view of the Empire-style church of St. Aloysius: on the outdoor seating area with a barbecue, fire pit and a play sand pit. The firewood is ready and so are the roasting forks. Picnic baskets and trays for your outdoor dining can be found in each of the four fully-equipped kitchens. A glass of wine or the good coffee from the Dolce Gusto machines can be savoured on the terrace, right in front of the entrance door. Mushroom picking enthusiasts can borrow our mushroom baskets that are situated in the lower part of the corridor.
Two washing machines and two clothes dryers: you can find them in the common areas in the lower part of the hall. (You can rent an ironing board with an iron by prior agreement – on request).
In our family mountain lodge we take great care in welcoming even the littlest of guests with their parents and grandparents. We have put together a system and layout that will facilitate your packing, getting ready on an outdoor hike, and transport of all the necessities for a weekend or a holiday. Upon request we will prepare a high chair for you, a wooden crib with quality mattress, anti-allergenic pillow and blanket, including mattress protector and cotton linen. We can also prepare a set of baby bathing equipment.
There are various desk and card games next to the seating area in the upper part of the hall. When you have finished playing, please return the game back to the rack so that others can use it too. Thank you and have fun playing.
Wheelchair-bound visitors accompanied by at least one assisting person can also enjoy a peaceful holiday in our apartment house. Barrier-free access to the villa is easy using the metal tracks situated behind the front door. The Apartment No 2 (Classroom 2) on the ground floor is barrier free. There are extra wide corridors without any raised thresholds, a large kitchen and a dining room, and barrier-free showers and toilet.
Our clients can borrow sports equipment for playing badminton, turnball, or a ball. The sports equipment is placed behind the front door.
A small figure of St. Aloysius as a walker with a backpack and angel’s wings, designed by Tereza Fabiánková in her textile workshop Šité drobnosti, is waiting in each of the classrooms (apartments). Aloysius looks forward to exploring with you. Take him out on a walk, hike, toboggan run, the Skywalk tower, or to the newly opened Sky Bridge -721. Send us your pictures and share them on the social media with the hashtag #apartmanyuAloise or #saloisemnacestach. However, do not forget that his home is in the mountains: wave Aloysius goodbye and leave him where you found him so that other visitors can explore with him as well. Thank you.
Aloysius’ herb garden was established by renowned botanist Josef Halda, author of monographs on numerous plant orders, who has travelled all around the world. The name tags to the individual plants were made by his wife Jarmila Haldová, a respected artist, woodcarver and historian, who is often referred as a woman of thousand interests. Over her career she has created a unique collection of all the past rulers of Bohemia, countless puppets and Nativity scenes, her charming illustrations accompanied books of fairy tales. She is also known for her botanical art. She is the author of Princess Kačenka, the ruler of the Orlické hory mountains.
The classicist church of St. Aloysius (also referred to as church of St. Aloysius of Gonzaga) is a Roman Catholic filial church in Velká Morava. It is listed as a protected cultural monument. The church stands on a hill on the left bank of River Morava, in the elevation of 633 metres above sea level. Built in the imperial style in 1801-1802, it is a one-aisle structure on a rectangular plane covering three segments separated by vaulting. The eastern part is topped with a conch. In the western part there is a choir loft on four Tuscan pillars, with Czech flat vault beneath. The church tower and triangular presbytery are situated on the western side of the church. The painting on the main altar is the work of the Liechtenstein painter Jan Dallinger.
